The Client
Xantus was engaged by this Leading Healthcare Manufacturer to define a new ERP strategy and applications roadmap that would provide the optimum reduction in the total cost of ownership (TCO) of their applications portfolio and significantly, reduce the cost of change for the organisation moving forwards.
The Client aimed to move to a more comprehensive ERP application landscape that is sustainable and aligned with the organisation's wider strategic goals to drive business efficiencies.
Xantus' Approach
With a dedicated team, Xantus engaged with technical experts, finance, programme delivery and senior stakeholders. An information gathering exercise was then undertaken to understand the existing applications landscape and business priorities.
Xantus worked with internal team members to successfully define the core ERP scope and what additional best of breed components should be considered, and supported the Finance function in the development of a high-level top down business case that indicated the potential hard benefits that could be achieved and the proposed programmes costs
A comparison of the proposed ERP scope was undertaken, comparing the Client to other retail organisations usilising the industry knowledge.
The Benefits
The ERP strategy and applications roadmap facilitated agreement with the oganisation's parent company, IT and the business to secure funding for the next phase of development.
Xantus provided the external expertise that allowed the Client to gain insight into what other large scale retail organisations had been able to achieve using ERP.
